A marble or granite slab can look perfect on the surface, and still be disqualified the moment you check the edges. An uneven edge line, a corner left rough, or a radius that doesn’t match between two parts of the same surface — all of these stand out especially in elements like countertops, stairs and window sills, exactly where customers touch and feel the product. Quality side and edge polishing is often what separates work perceived as professional from work that keeps coming back for rework.
Manual edge polishing depends entirely on the worker’s skill and consistency at that moment, and it’s very hard to maintain the exact same result across dozens or hundreds of units. CNC-based side and edge polishing machines solve this: they define the edge profile in advance (straight, rounded, beveled, bullnose and others), the number of stages, and the type of polishing head at each stage, and produce the exact same result on every single piece that goes through the machine. The result is a uniform edge line, precise corners, and significantly shorter production time compared to manual work.
Not every project needs the same edge profile. Kitchen countertops usually require a rounded or beveled edge that’s comfortable for everyday touch, while architectural projects and staircases sometimes need a special profile that serves both an aesthetic and a safety purpose (reducing slipperiness, for example). A quality machine lets a factory switch between different profiles quickly, without hurting ongoing production pace.
We are the exclusive importer and distributor in Israel of the Italian Donatoni machines, including dedicated side and edge polishing solutions that integrate into your factory’s existing production line. Our professional team examines, together with you, the types of products you manufacture, your production volume and your budget, and recommends the configuration that will deliver the best long-term result — not just a one-off fix.
